This acoustic roll boasts exceptional sound absorption capabilities, along with the added benefit of enhancing fire performance of walls, floors, and partitions. By incorporating glass mineral wool as a noise-absorbing layer in partitions and floors, you can significantly enhance their acoustic performance without having to increase the overall structural mass by a significant amount.

When used in partitions, glass mineral wool effectively aids plasterboard linings by absorbing airborne sound in the cavity and minimising reverberation. As a result, it effectively limits the hallow sound typical of partitions with unfilled cavities. This product is suitable for use in internal floors, separating floors, internal walls, and plasterboard partitions.

This acoustic roll is suited to friction fitting between joists and studs spaced at 400mm or 600mm centres, in order to enhance the sound insulation of: separating walls and floors; internal walls and floors; and timber and metal stud partitions. Additionally, this acoustic roll can be friction fitted between resilient timber battens and timber studs in robust detail separating floors and walls.
