This SFTV insulation should be installed on the “warm” side of the insulated structure, with careful attention paid to sealing all seams and holes effectively. By doing so, the whole structure becomes moisture vapour-proof, resulting in improved thermal performance. To prevent vapour from entering the wall or roof, it is essential to fit this SFTV as a continuous barrier.

When fixing and jointing, all laps should be a minimum of 150mm and sealed using SF Jointing Tape. When sealed around penetrations, extra care should be taken. Where the barrier is breached by construction elements, you should use sided SuperFOIL tape to seal the aperture.
